Letzte Woche war meine liebe Freundin Celestina wieder zu Besuch und wir haben zusammen geschlemmt, frisiert, gelesen gelacht und natürlich Fotos gemacht: unter anderem mit diesem Traum von einem Umhang, den mir die Liebe Teleria (LHN) schon vor einiger Zeit genäht hat und den ich schon soooo lange hier endlich zeigen wollte. Es ist Wollfilz, ihr könnt euch also vorsteklen, wie wir bei den Fotos in der Mittagssonne geschwitzt haben.
Last weekend my dear friend Celestina came for a visit for breakfast or brunch or what ever and we feasted and styled and read and laughed and of course we took some photos too. Some with this amazing medieval cloak Teleria (LHN) taylored for me already some time ago and I postponed to post pictures of it for soooo long. It is made of wool felt and you can imagine how we sweated taking the pics right at noon on a hot summer's day.

Wenn ich mir das so ansehe, möchte ich damit aber im Herbst oder Winter noch mal Waldfotos machen: düsterer, verwunschener.
Aber ich finde, so für den Spaß haben der Garten und die Senkrechtsonne mit ihren Monsterschlagschatten doch ihr bestes gegeben.
When I look at the pics I want to make shure to take the cloak out for a shooting in atumun or winter again, maybe in the forrest with darker, more dramatic light. But for today I think our garden and high noon's sunlight with its hard shadows did their best too.
Um zum Umhang zu passen, habe ich Celestina eine Waterfalltwist-Variante geflochten (Tutorial z.B. bei Lilith Moon), bei der einfach die losen Strähnen des Wasserfalls am Ende wieder mit einem französischen Flechtschema in einem Zopf vereinigt werden. Vorsichtig etwas auseinander ziehen, ohne die Strähnen dabei zu zerfleddern und schon hat man diese Rippenstruktur. War tatsächlich sogar haltbarer als gedacht. Aber das steht und fällt damit, wie stark die Haare im oberen Segment tapern. Für mich mit meinem Neuwuchs oder auch generell für Locken ist diese Frisur eher nichts, außer mit Stylingprodukthilfe, um die Strähnen glatt und separiert zu halten.
I braided a waterfalltwist variation for Celestina to match the cloak (video tutorial can be found for example at Lilith Moon). Just braid the waterfall twists on both sides of the head and fuse them on the back of the head to an english braid adding in the loose strands of the two waterfalls in a french brading pattern. Then pull gently on the strands to loosen them a bit but without destorying the structure. Like this you create this ribcage look. And it even lasted much longer than expected! But that depends a lot on how much your hair tapers in the upper section, so for me with my tons of regrowth this style is not one of choice. As well as for girls with curly hair or at least only when you help with some products to keep the strand straight and separated.

Ich wollte dann gern eine passende Frisur haben, also auch einen Half-up und Fischgräten sind ja sowieso immer toll, deswegen habe ich dann von Celestina diesen süßen Fischgräten-Half-up geflochten bekommen.

As I wanted to have a matching hairstyle too which demanded a half-up style and we all love fishtailbraids of course, Celestina braided this cute fishtail half-up with my hair.

Da ich auf den Bildern auch ein Kleid von Celestina trage, wir ähnlich groß sind, eine ähnliche Statur haben und Haarfarbe und Haarlänge passsen, musste natürlich ein Schwesternbild her. *Herzchen*
You see we look a bit like sisters: both tall with similar haircolour and hairlength and to finish it of I also wear one of Celestina's dresses. *hearts in my eyes*
So und nun suche ich nach so einem schlichten Baumwollkleid auch für mich. Bisher erfolglos. Das pertrolfarbene (H&M) macht mich ungelogen extrem plump, das schwarze gibt es nicht mehr, ein anders habe ich online bestellt und sah auch einfach nur nach Planschkuh aus. Na, mal gucken. :) Ist ja noch ein bisschen was dran am Sommer und dem angegliederten Schlussverkauf. Wenn ihr eine Idee habt, wo ich so ein Kleid bekommen könnte: ich würde mich sehr über Kommentare freuen (zalando hab ich schon durch). Ih weiß, kein Bild von vorn hier... aber eben einfach ein schlichtes T-Shirtiges Baumwollkleid, bodenlang.
And now I am searching the internet for a simple cotton dress like this for me too. But unsuccessful by now. The teal dress (H&M) Celestina wears is really unflatttering for me, I look plump in it. The black one is from several seasons ago and another dress I ordered makes me look like... no I don't translate that. Maybe I don't even know the word. Let's say it again: plump. But we will see. Still summer time and therefore also summer sale left.Iff you have an idea where I can buy such a dress, I would be happy to read it in the comments (but I already worked my way to the whole zalando page).I know, no ppic from the front but it is really simple: just a long dress like a long T-Shirt with elastic at the waist.
