Wo bist du in 10 Jahren?

Kordel-Half-up

People often overrate, what they can reach within a year - but they underrate what could be possible within a decade. Wisely quoted. Pinterest is full of such proverbs and advices...
Last Saturday I met with my classmates from 10 years ago, when we all made our Abitur. When seeing them again I had the impression that they were pretty much the same as they were ten years ago. But what do you expect to come to know about 30 to 40 people in only a few hours? Not as much as they experienced and changed during the last ten year of course. Talking about myself I still am the tall, lean one with the long hair (oh yeah! And you can imagine how much I was surprised  - and happy - when several guys mentioned my "hair this long", even though it is now shorter as it was, when we made our exams.), I am still the one who likes drawing and well, I have to admit I still am the smartypants (I had to look that word up for you - sounds funny, like someone with Smarties in the pants... :) In German, the word is: Klugscheißer, litterally: wiseshitter. Could be similar to Smarties in the pants... ;) ).
Of course I know that there was much more within the last decade. But you can only see the outside of people right? And that looks in my case (as well as considering my classmates) pretty much the same as it looked a third of a lifetime ago when somewhere in northern Hesse boondocks a period of life ended and a new was about to start.
Unfortunately my photoalbums are all packed for the move now. But as Flashback Fridays and Throwback Thursdays are so hip today, I can show you some pics of my highschool time later, if you like. :)
