Diesen Monat gibt es mit Flechtwerk (Lenja, Nessa, Bobbly, Zoey, Wuscheline und ich) Alltägliches aus unserem Leben mit den langen Haaren. Denn oft ist das dann gar nicht mehr so alltäglich.
This month the girls around Flechtwerk (Nessa, Lenja, Zoey, Bobbly, Wuscheline and I) talk about our daily life with our long hair - because it is not that common as life with a "normal" hairlength.
Ich bin sicher, etliche von euch kennen auch die
Top-Liste der "beliebtstesten" Langhaarkommentare
"Hängen die nicht ins Klo?"
"Sind das alles deine Haare?"
"Willst du die nicht mal abschneiden?"
"Hast du das selber geflochten?"
"Ist das nicht total aufwändig?"
"Ich finde so lange Haare ja eklig."
Und ab einer gewissen Länge, lernt man defintiv ein paar Gefahren auszuweichen, von denen man vorher gar nicht wusste, dass sie bestehen:
Knöpfe, an denen man hängenbleibt
gefährliche Kerzen
rotierende Maschinen jeglicher Art
Gasherde
und mein persönlicher Favorit: Flexileinen.
I am shure many of you already know the top-list of the most "popular" comments long haired people receive:
"Don't they hang into the toilet?" / "Is that all your hair?" / "Don't you want to cut it soon?" / "Isn't it a big effort?" / "I think long hair is disgusting!"
And beyond a certain length you definitely learn to avoid some risks and dangers: buttons to get caught on / candles / any rotating machine / gas stoves / and my personal favourit: the flecible dog lead.
Nichts, was schöne Bilder brächte. Und auf die hatte ich Lust. Und vermutlich... ihr auch. Behaupte ich mal. Ich hab den Post den ganzen Monat vor mir hergeschoben (muhahahah, wenn ich das während der 30 Tage Challenge gesagt hätte! ;) ), weil mir einfach nichts dazu einfallen wollte. Und nun hab ich über den Tag einfach mal versucht "alltägliche" Bilder zu machen.
"Einfach mal" ist ein Witz! Das ist so wie der Nude-Look beim Schminken: soll das gut aussehen ist das mehr Inszenierung als jeder Poserbär.
Es wird um so schwerer, wenn man nur den Selbstauslöser oder den langen Arm hat und das Licht sich nicht entscheiden kann, ob es nun sonnig oder wolkig sein möchte. Aber da wären wir nun. :)
Well looking at this list, there is nothing for nice pics. But that is what I like! And I am shure you too. I procrastinated this post the whole month (muhahaha, if I told you that during my 30-day-challenge! ;) ) because I had no idea for photos. So now I tried the whole day to make some "daily" photos which look casual. Well, that is like nude make-up! The biggest deal ever! To make it look as if you haven't done anything for it... let me tell you, it's the same with photos. Especially when you have to work with the selftimer and light changes every other minute from sun to clouds and sun to clouds... But here we are now. :)

Im Übrigen:
Nein, die hängen nicht ins Klo, genauso wenig wie lange Strickjacken. Der kluge Mensch nimmt alls, was potentiell besudelt werden könnte vorher mit einer Handbewegung aus dem Weg. So einfach ist das. Aber *hust* ja, sie hängen rein, wenn man die Schüssel putzt und keinen Dutt hat, das ist schon dumm...
Besides that:
No, they donät hang in the toilet. Normal people get their hair out of the way as they do it also with their clothes. But be carful when you clean the toilet and bend foreward with hair down...
Man fragt mich tatsächlich trotz meiner nicht so dicken Haare, die auch jetzt keine SO rasend seltene Länge haben, ob die alle echt wären. Das wird sowohl gefragt, wenn ich sie offen habe, als auch - und das finde ich eigentlich viel merkwürdiger - wenn ich einen Parandidutt trage und man sobald man nah genug an mir dran ist, um mich zu fragen ohne zu schreien, sehen kann, dass das lila Baumwollgarn ist. Mit einem normalen Dutt fragt niemand. Dazu gehört eher der Kommentar: "So lange Haare in so einem kleinen Dutt?!" Da auch Nessa sowas zu hören kriegt, perlt das ziemlich an mir ab.
I am fascinated: people really ask me if my hair is all mine. I mean, my hair is not that thick and my length not that super special, long yes, but... you know. But what is even more astounding, is, that most times I get asked this question is, when I wear my parandibun. And it is pretty obvious (when you are close enough to me to ask my the question in a normal tone, no jelling neccessary for the distance), that there is purple yarn in the bun. Yarn, no hair, but okay.
Nobody asks me, if my hair is real, when I wear a bun. But it can happen then, that people comment: "So long hair in such a tiny bun!" As even Nessa receives such commets, that is really nothing to worry about. :)
Ob ich die abschneiden will? Wollen wollte ich lange nicht. Und ich hätter nach wie vor gern mehr Länge. Aber ich will Haare, die schön sind, von daher weiß ich nicht, ob ich das Abschneiden wollen will. ;) Der Witz ist, dass auch die gesündesten, dichtesten Schöpfe mit dieser Frage konfrontiert werden. Als würde man nur wachsen lassen, um sich dann endlich, endlich von dieser Last an langem, wunderschönen Haar zu befreien. Ich frag doch auch niemanden: "Willst du dich nicht mal abschminken?"
If I want to cut it? Well, to want or not to want, that is the question. Of course I want more length but I also want thicker healthier hair, less transparent length. So I can't answer this at the moment. But in general: even girls with perfect silky, supershiny all neat trimmed thick hair are asked this question. I mean: Why?! Because she will finally be happy to get rid of that beautyful burden of a mane? That is like asking someone: "Don't you want to remove your make-up now?" No, it is worse.
Ja, selber geflochten. Immer. Ich habe keine Zofe.
Yes I ddo my hairstyles on my own. Always. I have no abigail.
Aufwändig? Ich kenne nicht einen Haarschnitt, der so unkompliziert ist wie langes Haar. Wirklich (Millimeterschnitt und Glatze zählt nicht). Ich kann innerhalb von Sekunden fertig sein, um das Haus zu verlassen (LWB to go, quasi) und auch eigentlich überall ohne Spiegel nachfrisieren.
Die Flechtereien? Das ist sehr unterschiedlich. Manches ist sehr zeitaufwändig und sieht dabei realtiv simpel aus (Fischgräte), manches macht super was her, ist aber recht einfach (Rosebun). Je länger der Zopf und je dünner dabei das Haar, desto länger dauert das Flechten. Je mehr lange dünne Zöpfe man also für eine Frisur braucht, desto länger dauert sie. Wobei das eher was mit Geduld als mit Aufwand zu tun hat.
An effort? Well, that depends. I really don't know any other haircut which is less complicated than long hair (bold head or millimeter cut do not count). I can be ready within seconds to leave home (LWB to go) and I am able to adjust my hairstyle almost everywhere without a mirror.
The braiding? Okay, some take a lot of time, some don't. Take the Rosebun: it looks intricate, but is really quick and easy. Or the fishtailbraid: quite similar to a normal braid but that really takes time! In most cases it is more a question of patience and neat braiding than of real effort. Always have in mind: the longer and thinenr the braids the more time they need. So hairstyles with severeal accentsbraids can look really, really difficullt but are in fact only time eaters.
Bezüglich des Ekels vor langen Haaren: das sollte man wissen, wenn man selbst welche hat. Nicht bei allen stößt das auf Gegenliebe. Und auch wenn ich selbst diesen Ekel als sehr irrational empfinde, so kenne ich genug Menschen, die genau das bei sehr langem Haar empfinden. Wo da so die Schallgrenze liegt, ab wann es als eklig empfunden wird, ist unterschiedlich, aber der Po scheint so eine Art magische Grenze zu sein.
Leben und leben lassen. Wenn andere sich ekeln, ist das eben so. Wenn man selbst lange Haar toll findet, ist das auch einfach so. Man muss sich ja dann nicht ausgrechnet bei XY auf der Couch bürsten.
When it comes to very long hair, we have to face the fact, that are some people who find the hair disgusting. Me personally, I consider this to be irrational, but nevertheless I know people who not only donÄt like the length, they really reagrd it as disgusting. Which length is still okay and which is a no-no for them, depends on both: the viewer and the one with the long hair. But somehowbutlength seems to be a magic border. If there are people who find our hair disgusting that is just so. Live and let live. But maybe it is the easiest and best for both sides to wear a braid or bun rather than combing out our hair on the person's couch.

Nachdem ich die Beiträge meiner Mädels hier gelesen habe möchte ich noch zwei kleine persönliche Haarmomente beisteuern, die sehr gut zeigen, wie sehr Schönheit im Auge des Betrachters liegt:
Kommentarsorte 1: "Du hast ja aber auch wirklich extrem dünne Haare!" (in der Regel kommt der Spruch von Menschen mit dickeren und vor allem sehr viel kürzeren Haaren).
Kommentarsorte 2: "Haare wie Rapunzel!"
In der Regel von Kindern (auch von Jungs!) oder auch ein paar anderen lieben Menschen.
Ich finde den Rapunzelkommentar echt erstaunlich bei meiner Länge. Aber er erfreut mich wirklich ungemein. :)
After reading the stories of my fellows here I want to add some personal
hairmoments which show best that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Comment 1: "Your hair is really extremely thin!" (mostly this comes from people with thicker and much shorter hair than mine)
Comment 2: "Hair like Rapunzel!" (usually children say that and not only girls - and some other nice fellows say that too).
I am really astonished, that I receive this Rapunzel-commie, even with ym length. But it really makes me happy. :)Labels: Flechtwerk, length
