Es ist wieder der 15. im Monat und wie der Titel schon sagt, zeigt euch Flechtwerk (das sind Wuscheline, Bobbly, Zoey, Lenja, Nessa und ich) alles zum Thema Winterhaar - oder doch zumindest das, was uns dazu einfällt. :)
Hello my dearest long hair lovers! :)
Again it is time for our common monthly Flechtwerk-post, as it is the 15th. Flechtwerk, this is Wuscheline, Bobbly, Zoey, Lenja, Nessa und me and this moth we all blog about our "wintercoat", I mean, our hair in winter.
Da ich letzten Monat so viel Freude an der Graphic Novel "The Last Unicorn" hatte (es ging um Märchenfrisuren) und ich überhaupt finde, dass ich wieder öfter den Bleistift zücken sollte, komme ich nicht umhin meinen Post zu splitten.
Winterfell, Winterhaar, Winter-Haar, das schrie für mich förmlich nach einer zeichnerischen Umsetzung.
Aber ihr seid ja hier für die echten Haare, also fange ich damit an. Wer zu neugierig ist, scrollt einfach runter, Chronologie ist heute nicht zwingend nötig.
As I had so much fun last month with the graphic novel "The Last Unicorn" (we talked about fairytale hairstyles then) and anyway I think I should draw more often, I came to the point to split this post.
Wintercoat winterhair, winter hair, that leads immediately one year back, when I was involved in drawing my own graphic novel for my graduation from university. Those of you, who are too curious, can scroll down, this post here doesn't necessaryly need a chronologic order.
But I guess you are here for the real hair, so I will start with that.

Nun, an sich ist es dasselbe Haar wie auch im Sommer. Waschen, pflegen, frisieren, daran ändert sich nicht viel. Vielleicht ein bisschen mehr Öl in den Kuren, aber das war's eigentlich auch schon. Zum Thema wärmende Kopfbedeckungen haben die anderen (Links siehe oben) glaube ich schon vorgesorgt.
Ich mag mich auf die übrigen Klamotten und ihre Auswirkungen auf winterliches Haar stürzen.
Well it is almost the same haircare routine and styling as in summer. Maybe a bit more of oil, but that's it. When it comes to caps and hats, I am shure the others can help you out (click on the links above).
I choose to talk about the other clothes which matter a lot how your hair looks like.
Jacken und Mäntel / jackets and coats
Also. Draußen trage ich meine Haare im Winter kaum offen. Meist ist es windig und oder nass, ich ziehe den Kopf zwischen die Schultern und da nervt mich das dann mehr, als dass ich es schön finden würde.
Aber es gibt natürlich solche Tage, an denen ist die Luft klar und hell, vielleicht liegt Schnee oder der Frost glitzert. Dann habe ich meine Haare gern offen.
Wichtigste Entscheidung: ich nehme den Mantel ohne Kapuze. In meinem Fall ist die Kapuze abnehmbar. Gerade bei dünnem Haar frisst die Kapuzenbeule nämlich sonst nicht nur Länge, sie fächert die Haare auch so weit auf, dass sie durschscheinend werden und besonders von der Seite hängen sie dann etwas motivationslos in der Luft.
Outside I don't wear my hair down very often in winter. Most times it is cold, windy and wet, so my head is between my shoulders and long hair down would be more annoying than a pleasure. But there a certain days, when it is biting cold and sunny, frost or maybe even snow is sprakling... than I like to wear my hair down and enjoy it.
The most important decision to make is, whether you wear a coat with or without a hood. Especially with thin hair like mine a hooded style is not so nice for the looks of your hair, especially when you are looking from the side. The lengths are transparent and look rather negelected. So I absolutely recommand a coat without a hood!
Schals und Tücher / scarfs
Je wolliger, desto größer die Neigung der Nackehaare damit zu verfilzen. Ich mag auch deshalb lieber Tücher und nehme dann im Zweifel zwei, deren Farben zueinander passen.
Ich finde Tücher sogar sehr haarfreundlich, optisch: dadurch dass sie breit im Nacken liegen, fallen die Haare breiter und voluminöser.
Tragt ihr Kunstfaser, besonders solche, die so tut, als wäre sie Wolle, werdern offene Haare echt nervig, spätestens wenn ihr den Schl abwickelt wegen der statischen Aufladung. Keine gute Kombination. Baumwolle ist euer Freund, bei Kunstfaser ist Viskose sehr angenehm.
If you want to wear your hair down, don't take a woolen scarf. And no poly-whatever-scarf neither. Your hair will build nests of felt. Choose viscose or smooth cotton instead.
In fact I really like to wear scarfs. With scarfs my hair can fan out much more than it does normally. So it looks much more volumous.
Pullover und Oberteile / pullovers and tops
Auch hier schätze ich dicke Krägen, weil sie Volumen geben. Klar das Verfilzungsproblem, aber das nehme ich in Kauf.
Auch hier, wie bei den Schals: je wolliger, desto Filz, je kunstfaseriger, desto Bzzzz.
Here I really like fat collars as I like scarfs, because they add a lot of volume.
Farben / colours
Ach mein Lieblingsthema!
Gerdae für dünnes Haar ist die Farbe des Untergrundes entscheidend, dieser sollte dunkel und vor allem einfarbig sein. Je größer die Kontraste, vor allem zu sehr hellen Farben, desto ungünstiger. Also: Schwarz, Petrol, Dunkelblau, Lila, Bordeauxrot, Braun - das sind eure Freunde. Auf Schwarz wirken eigentlich alle Haarfarben schön voll - nur schwarzes Haar sieht man natürlich schlecht. Komplementärfarben unterstützen oft die Optik, sollten aber auch eher dunkel sein. Also Lila bis Blau bei goldenem Blond, Grün bei Rot und Orangetönen (Petrol liegt dazwischen was erklärt, weshalb es für fast alle Haarfarben gut funktioniert), für Brünette, deren Farbe ein Mischton aus Gelb, Rot und Schwarz ist, empfiehlt sich ebenfalls ein Grünton - oder eben Petrol oder Schwarz. Ich bin so frei mit alten Bildern zu demonstrieren, die Duttwellen waren echt nur störend...

Wie ihr sehr achte ich immer darauf nur vorteilhafte Farben zu tragen, wenn ich meine monatlichen Längenfotos mache.

Oh my favourite topic!
As I already mentioned in older posts, it depends a lot on the background hwo your hair looks. That means: your pullover / coat / top should have only one colour, no stripes, no dots, no patterns. If your hair is really thick, that probably won't matter to you. But hey, it's me and the colour of my clothing really crucial when I want my hair to look as good as possible.
Normally black is the best background colour. All haircolours look full and smooth on it - except for black, which plays chameleon... Other dark colours are nice too: bordeaux red, deep prurple, dark blue,bright teal... It is also helpful to chose a colour complementary to your haircolour. With red hair that would be something dark green, with golden blonde, all between dark blue and purple will be nice. With brown hair as a mixture auf yellow, red and black pigments, you have to experiment a bit. But with teal you can't do anything wrong. :)

Winter-Haar
Ich habe als Abschlussarbeit (Bachelor Grafikdesign) letztes Jahr eine Probeszene aus einer Grafik Novel gezeichnet. Basierend auf einer Romanvorlage von mir. Wen es interessiert, auf meinem Artwork-Blog gibt es mehr dazu. Zum Beispiel hier, hier und hier.
Last year I graduated from university (Fachhochschule) and made my Bachelor of Arts as a graphic designer. My final project was a test scene of a graphic novel, based on a comeing of age novel written by me too. Ist eher noch eine "work in progress", aber ich bin schon so glücklich, überhaupt mal wieder gezichnet zu haben... mehr in Kürze!

Mein Protagonist heißt Jakob Winter, daher meine Assoziation mit Winterhaar. Er selbst hat jetzt mehr Borsten-plus als eine echte Mähne, aber eine seiner Mitprotagonisten - seine Freundin - , Anna Tormann, hat sehr langes Haar.
My protagonist's name is Jakob Winter, that is why I associate winter hair with my drawings. His hair ist not that special, simpel men's short cut, but one of his fellows - actually his girlfriend - Anna Tormann, has got super long hair.
Nächsten Monat gehen wir stramm auf die Feiertage zu und hoffen euch wiederzusehen mit dem Thema
